Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Work in the NDT team at Brussels Airport Zaventem as a Aerospace NDT inspector.
  • Working on a variety of aircrafts ( Military and Civil aircrafts)  e.g. Airbus, Boeing , Cessna , Lockheed Martin, A400M ,F16. This in various domains like Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance)
  • Participating in a training program for an NDT method and is in the process of becoming qualified for certification directly to level 2 according to EN4179.Concerned methods are ET(Eddy current Testing) , PT (Fluorescent penetrant testing) , UT( Ultrasonic Testing), MT (magnetic particle testing).
  • All these techniques are used to detect hidden cracks, corrosion, delamination etc., on metal and composite parts, installed on the aircraft or in a workshop.
  • Formal training shall be conducted prior to, or in conjunction with , on-the -job training.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to process parts , document results and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions.
  • Help interpret and evaluate inspection results, and communicate findings clearly to the team.
  • Assist with the calibration of different NDT testing techniques according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Become a Component Certifying Staff after completing the training program.

Your Profile:

  • Educational background in electro mechanics/Bachelor
  • Some experience or internships in the aviation industry is a plus but not a main requirement.
  • Be able to follow work instructions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
  • Good communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with the team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to following quality procedures meticulously.
  • Drivers license B.
  • Be willing to travel to different locations in Belgium and outside Belgium.
  • Be able to work in weekends and occasional at night.
  • Be able to work on height and work with nacelles , cherry pickers etc.
  • Must be able to work in enclosed spaces.
  • Be part ( in future) of a 24h/24h AOG team
  • Strong mentality ,must be able to work under time pressure and stressful work environment.
  • Interest in aviation.
  • Interest in new technologies.
